We hope that you will find all the information that you need about the museum contained in the following pages

We think that we have included all the important stuff that you will need to plan a visit to see us at our site just a couple of miles from Lowestoft – England’s most easterly town. You will also find some more general information that you may find interesting about the society, the museum, its collection and what we’re working on at the moment.

Things are always changing, so don’t forget to come back and visit our site regularly to see what’s going on. Remember, every single person who works here is a volunteer and we always have plenty of hands-on opportunities for new recruits.

50’s Seaside Celebration

From: May 11, 2019

To: May 12, 2019

Time: Saturday and Sunday 11am - 5pm

50’s Seaside Celebration

A celebration of the 50s with a seaside flavour as we launch into service after restoration our trolleybus Hastings 34, which operated throughout the 50s in Hastings until it was the final trolleybus when the system closed in May 1959.  We will also be operating all our available south coast trolleybuses in service, and there will be visiting buses from the area, including (we hope) one special visiting vehicle from Hastings.  There will be a free park & ride service and free bus services to Beccles and Lowestoft as well as the BBQ in the park.  Music and dancing from the 50s, trade stands, and static exhibits makes this an interesting weekend for all with a liking for the 50s – come dressed 50s style and get a discount!
