During the year we host a number of hugely popular events at the museum. Ensure you reserve the dates below in your diary so you do not miss out! Also, if you are interested in bringing a vehicle or having a stall at one of our events, download our [APPLICATION FORM] and get it back to us as soon as possible.
SPECIAL EVENTS DIARY |

Join us to celebrate our 50th anniversary of opening to the public where we’ll be getting out and displaying or operating as many of our vehicles as we can possibly manage.

As the home of more London Trolleybuses than any other museum, we’ll be staging another of our ever-popular London Events to celebrate public transport from the capital with our own and visiting London-themed vehicles on display and in service.

This is one of our most exciting events where we will be bringing examples from the local emergency services to the museum, with displays and demonstrations throughout the day.

Join us for a weekend of fun where all available vehicles from our fleet will be running; as the nights are beginning to draw in, we will be running after dark on Saturday, when the Museum takes on a very special atmosphere under the streetlights.

No tricks – just treats, but there’s some spooky goings on around the site with a free witch hunt for the children with a prize for every child. The late running of our trams trolley buses and train into the evening will be a chilling experience for all, as the woods come alive with the spirits of All Hallows Eve when it gets dark. There will be extra treats for any children in fancy dress.

It is with great sadness that we must announce that we have received a letter direct from the North Pole from the big man in the red suit himself.
Unfortunately due to the Covid19 coronavirus situation worldwide, Santa has been forced to hugely cut back his number of personal appearances around the world ahead of Christmas this year. This is to ensure that he and his team and especially his magical reindeer can try their hardest to stay well so they are able to carry out Christmas deliveries as best they can this year.
Santa said that he is really sad not to be meeting all the children as usual this year, but he and his team still look forward to getting your letters at the north pole as usual. The elves will be keeping an eye out as always to ensure all children are being good using their secret cameras hidden all around the world !!
Santa says he hopes to return next year if it is safe to do so.

We’ll be limiting numbers on site to ensure social distancing, and we may have to close our gates for a while during the afternoon until we’ve got some spaces available. Last admission is an hour before closing.
We’ll be asking everyone to observe the ‘Rule of 6’ around the museum and single households (or support bubbles) only seated together inside the cafe or on the vehicles. And don’t forget, you’ll need a face covering to wear inside the buildings and on the vehicles unless you’re exempt.
